Terms of Service
Last updated October 18, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Israel Derdik, who operates CodePrepCoach.com (“we”, “us”, “the service”). By creating an account or using the service you accept them and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
CodePrepCoach.com is an AI coach for practising coding interviews. It generates exercises, conducts an interview conversation, offers hints on request, evaluates what you submit and suggests what to practise next. It is currently free and offered as an early version: features may change, be limited or be withdrawn, and we do not promise any particular availability.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- An account is for one person. Keep access to your email account and any Google account you sign in with secure: whoever controls it can sign in as you.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe someone else has accessed it.
AI feedback is guidance, not a verdict
Exercises, replies, hints, scores, verdicts and explanations are produced with large language models and checked by rules in our code. They can be incomplete or wrong. Your code is analysed but never executed, so feedback about whether it works is an informed judgment, not a test result. Scores and verdicts are coaching tools: they are not a certification, an assessment of your employability, or a prediction of any interview outcome. Use your own judgment and verify anything important.
Your content
You keep ownership of the code, notes and messages you write. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and display that content, and to send it to our AI and infrastructure providers, as needed to run, support and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy. The licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law or that remain in backups for a limited time.
Only submit content you have the right to use. Do not submit confidential or proprietary code belonging to an employer or anyone else, or other people's personal information.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights while using the service;
- use the service during a real interview, exam or assessment where outside help is not allowed, or present its output as your own unaided work in such a setting;
- try to access other users' accounts or data, or bypass authentication, authorization, limits or other protections;
- probe, scan or load-test the service, or interfere with its operation;
- use bots, scripts or automated access to create accounts, generate content in bulk or scrape the service;
- use the service to build a competing product or dataset, or resell access to it;
- submit malware or content designed to manipulate the AI into ignoring its instructions or exposing other users' data.
Our content
The service, its design and the exercises, explanations and feedback it generates for you are provided for your personal, non-commercial practice. You may keep and reuse your own solutions freely. Do not copy, republish or redistribute the service or its generated material in bulk.
Fees
The service is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you the price and terms before you are charged, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users or the service at risk, or where required by law, and we may discontinue the service. Where reasonable, we will give notice and a chance to download your content first.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that its feedback is correct.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not all apply to you; nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
If you misuse the service or break these terms and a third party brings a claim against us as a result, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs that claim causes us, to the extent the law allows.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be heard in the state and federal courts located in the State of New York, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living outside the United States, you keep any protections the mandatory law of your country gives you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops and will revise the date at the top. For material changes we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them to a successor operator of the service.
